Elevator Malfunction

CALL 911

If you are trapped in an elevator, use the emergency phone to notify the Police Department at 911.
Provide the following nformation:
       • Your name
       • The building name
       • The floor you are on
       • The present situation
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO EXIT A STALLED ELEVATOR UNLESS TOLD TO DO SO BY A CAMPUS OFFICIAL.
If a person is stranded in an elevator, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FORCE THE ELEVATOR DOORS OPEN. BE PATIENT. Reassure them that their alarm has been noticed and help is coming. Keep in contact with them until help arrives.
